It’s been a busy couple of weeks, but I wanted to share 6 key ideas I’ve been researching and speaking on, and expect to trend in 2027. 💫

🤖 Ambient Intelligence – The evolution of AI chatbots and AI Agents.

💰 High Frequency Micro-Payments – The Agent-to-Agent (A2A) economy is disrupting the future of how companies manage and spend money, creating an enormous amount of new transactions, as well as an enormous amount of new economic actors.

🧬 Data – Moving from static to smart, active, and maybe even weaponised.

🛡️ AI Vulnerability Scoring System – We can’t predict every new AI threat or way AI could fail, so new quantifiable risk assessment systems are being developed to measure a system’s resilience and robustness, from likelihood and impact, to speed of detection, containment, and recovery.

💸 Token costs – A recent survey by EY found that 98% of organisations using token-based AI are reconsidering their AI strategy due to its cost. We can also expect to see a rise in model routing, where simple tasks are sent to cheaper models while difficult tasks are reserved for expensive reasoning models.

⚖️ Human ROI – In addition to measuring monetary ROI, we also must establish frameworks that measure how this technology is working for us as humans – or not working for us, as some research suggests.

🎤 Planning an event for 2027? My keynote calendar is now open, and I’d love to share what’s coming next with your audience!
