On Monday I had the pleasure of working with one of my favourite longtime clients, JLL , at their Financial Services Executive Forum on Monkey Island! 🐒 🏝

I talked about how—in the age of AI—it’s PEOPLE who are going to be your ultimate differentiator, and to attract and retain this talent we better be offering a high-quality workspace where people will want to spend their time!

As AI is changing the nature of the kind of work we do, our office requirements will change as well—with less siloed, individual desk work, and more focus on spaces intentionally designed for collaboration, connection, and creativity.

Today, AI startups are giving us a glimpse into what the future might hold:
➡️ They have smaller teams, with bigger budgets per head.
➡️ They expect premium amenities
➡️ Adaptive spaces
➡️ Intuitive AV that always works
➡️ & State-of-the-art network-infrastructure and cyber security

In addition to the attractors we think of today when enticing people into a workspace, key attractors of the future may also include access to computing power and onsite data centres. 🤔

Big thanks to Lee Daniels, Nicolle Kidley, Ruth Hynes, Susan Asprey Price, Jonathan Steel, and Steve Lawlor for inviting me and making it such an enjoyable experience! 🙏🏼 💐

Shout out to Nickolas Hayden and Raul Esparza— Super nice to meet you both! 🥂

And of course thanks to Martin Holm-Knudsen, Henrik Kjerside Poulsen, and A-Speakers— the #DreamTeam — for helping to make it all work! 🙌
