By 2030 millennials & Gen Z will make up 58% of the global workforce. Gen Alpha will be entering workforce, and we’ll also have the largest population of people over 60 ever - many of whom will still be working. We are looking at having the most disparate workforce ever - with varying levels of experience, expertise, expectations, and locations.
MetaHybrid - a term I use to describe the future of work - is about creating one seamlessly integrated, consistent, and stimulating experience across all areas of work, including physical, digital, and now also the virtual. When we work together in virtual spaces as avatars we may find it's easier to concentrate on the things we all have in common, rather than making conscious or subconscious judgements based on someone’s age or physical appearance. When I was starting out in the workforce I did a range of internships which put me in an office setting where I learned by assisting, but I also learned by osmosis - picking up on the subtleties of human interactions in professional settings. With the last couple years of covid, and remote and hybrid models continuing to be the norm for many companies, we need to look for ways we can provide the next generations with the same social skills, training, and opportunities that were available to previous generations, and I believe technology is going to fill this gap. In this episode of #XRStar I interview Sara Filipcic, the CEO & Founder of Be Human(e), a company that builds AI-driven experiential learning platforms for developing life-success skills.
