About this eventHow do you find mentorship in the nascent Responsible Tech ecosystem? Whether you are looking to expand your career as a public interest technologist, Trust & Safety professional, Responsible AI researcher, or at the intersection of tech & democracy (reducing hate speech, misinformation, disinformation), it is often difficult to understand the landscape, job titles, skills required, and make relationships with individuals who can assist you in your career growth.
All Tech Is Human is here to help! Our non-profit is committed to connecting and expanding the nascent Responsible Tech ecosystem, with one of our core activities focused on diversifying the traditional tech pipeline with more backgrounds , disciplines, and lived experiences. The future of technology is the future of democracy and the human condition, so it behooves us to have a multidisciplinary pipeline that can best tackle thorny tech & society issues.
All Tech Is Human is a non-profit committed to connecting and expanding the Responsible Tech ecosystem so we can co-create a better tech future. We do this through a variety of activities focused around three key areas: multi-stakeholder convening & community-building, multidisciplinary education, and diversifying the pipeline with more backgrounds and lived experiences. Our organization has a large community Slack group, regular summits & mixers, a mentorship program, university ambassadors program, open working groups that develop reports, office hours, a job board, and our Responsible Tech Guide. You can see all of our projects here. Our organization also just launched a Responsible Tech Talent Pool.
Our most recent Responsible Tech Mentorship cohort had 180 participants (135 mentees, 45 mentors) and we will soon be opening up our Fall mentorship cohort. If interested, you can sign-up for our waiting list to be notified when the applications open up. Our mentorship program is entirely free. All Tech Is Human is supported by the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, Ford Foundation, and other key foundations that allow us to serve this important role. Read an overview about All Tech Is Human here.

SPECIAL GUESTS FOR THIS LIVESTREAM
Sneha Deo, Responsible AI Lead at Microsoft
"I love translating human problems into the language of math so that we can use AI to drive the right solutions for the broadest and deepest-felt pain points. I'm currently a PM at Microsoft, where I drive Responsible AI efforts for the Experiences + Devices organization. I'm also a contributor to the Montreal AI Ethics Institute and advisor to the AI Policy Exchange Research Network. Building meaningful products starts with deep curiosity about the human condition.

I've found I'm better able to feed that curiosity when I break out of the tech bubble, so I've found complementary roles in non-profit leadership. I've worked on increasing voter turnout and civic engagement for South Asians in Washington State with SAAT-WA, improving oversight of policing practices in San Francisco with the League of Women Voters SF, and addressing access and equity in education on the board of the Hatch School, a new independent school in Seattle."
Kevin Fumai, Assistant General Counsel at Oracle
Kevin Fumai is an Assistant General Counsel at Oracle, where he oversees the legal affairs of three lines of business. He focuses on cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies, including with respect to data privacy and cybersecurity.
