A new global event series -- immerse(d) -- will move to London’s Ravensbourne on February 23, 2019, offering sound enthusiasts an experiential space to delve into the intersection of music, health, and technology. immerse(d) is presented by Studiofeed (the non profit arm of SUBPAC). Partners are a network of dedicated creators exploring how deep, immersive music positively impacts humanity.
Joe Muggs will lead panels on “Soundsystem Culture” and “Immersive Arts” featuring Oxman/Papa face (Dub Vendor), Cooly G (Hyperdub), Shy One (Touching Bass Collectives) and Vivek (System Music), Marshmallow Laser Feast, The Light Surgeon and more. Tom Middleton will be exploring psychoacoustic sound, whilst Justin Wiggin’s ‘Life of Plants’ delves into creating sound using plant bio data, culminating with world-class live a/v performance featuring Los Angeles’ Daedelus. Attendees will physically experience the event with wearable technology innovator, SUBPAC. The implication and application of bass frequencies in music & wellness is a central theme of the event series compelling discussions between artist, practitioner, and audience alike.
