![]() Yesterday I had the pleasure of sharing my latest research and insights into "Converging Technologies & the Future of Retail" at CMS UK's Consumer & Retail Conference! As this event rounded out the mini world tour I've been on the last several months, here's a couple key points that may be helpful to remember no matter what industry you're in: 👉 Education is the most powerful tool we have when it comes to adopting and utilising new technologies in the most responsible and strategic ways. We'e not just talking about investing in tech - we're also talking about investing in ourselves and our people. 👉 By 2030 we are going to have the disparate workforce ever in terms of age, experience, expectations, and locations. Organisations are going to need to adopt MetaHybrid models in order to solve emerging challenges and create a company culture that attracts and retains talent. 👉 We can no longer talk about technologies like Gen-AI, blockchain, XR, etc. in siloed conversations - It is almost impossible to talk about one without also considering the impact and influence of the others. It is at these intersection points that we are getting a roadmap to both coming opportunities and disruptions. 👉 We have to be aware of and talk about risks now - from issues of embedded bias, to threats on equality, the environment, and our perception of reality. The only way to avoid potential pitfalls is to identify them ahead of time. Thanks to Tom Scourfield, Katie Nagy de Nagybaczon, Alice Meekins, Katie Stirrop, and everyone else who made it a terrific event! #futurist #futureofretail #riskmanagement #metaverse #generativeai #keynotespeaker Comments are closed.
