As a futurist one of my core values is advocating responsible use of technology. Another is mentoring. Over the last 6 months I've been able to combine these passions through the All Tech Is Human 'Responsible Tech Mentorship Program', and it has been incredibly rewarding!
For our final session, I interviewed Patrick McAndrew, Sara Filipcic, and Gamithra Marga about their insights, advice, and vision for creating a better and more positive tech future. Check out this video to learn more! Special thanks to David Ryan Polgar and Rebekah Tweed for making this program happen! Patrick McAndrew is an actor, writer, and podcast producer based in New York City. He is particularly interested in using theatre, film, and media as a gateway to learning about the Internet, technology, and social media's influence on our decisions, habits, and lifestyles. His brand-new musical, The Startup, explores the influence that Big Tech has on our world today. Sara Filipcic is the founder of Be Human(e) and a researcher in Web3/Education. BeHuman(e) is a gamified platform that helps students develop awareness and management techniques for healthier habits when using technology. Gamithra Marga is a security engineer at an Icelandic cybersecurity company by day, and the founder of TVÍK, an AI-powered language learning platform, by night. She is trying to figure out what kind of impact new technologies have on the way we live and think, and how to find systematic approaches to ensuring that impact remains positive. https://youtu.be/hOWwv__GDpY #responsibletech #techresponsibility #techethics #tethics #AllTechIsHuman #mentoring #mentorshipprogram #future #futurist #panel #paneldiscussion #technology #education #cybersecurity #learning #ai #tech #TheStartup #BeHumane Comments are closed.
